160g of beautiful, soft, shiny, bright yellow, pink and orange Tencel.
Skeins are wound on a 2.5yard swift and secured with 4 choke ties.
Lovingly hand dyed in Ottawa.
This Canadian-milled Tencel is of beautiful quality. It is unbelievably soft and shiny.
Like cotton and bamboo, Tencel is made from plant materials. However manufacturing Tencel requires less energy and water than cotton. As a naturally derived fibre, Tencel is also biodegradable. As an added bonus, Tencel requires less dye than cotton to achieve vibrant colours.
8/2 approximately 3620 yards per pound
Although care has been taken to exhaust all dyes, changes in water quality and temperatures can make certain colors bleed. It is encouraged to wash yarns separately before knitting multi-colour projects to avoid darker colours bleeding into lighter ones. A colour catcher will been included for your convenience.
As is the nature with hand-dyed, no two skeins will ever be identical. If you require sweater quantities, please reach out to me and I will ensure they are made from the same dye lot. angela@skippedthreads.com
